A trip to the valleys

Postby Degs » 27 May 2014, 16:18

With the poor weather forecast for sunday, Joe and myself decided last minute on a trip to beach near Port Talbot which had a better weather forecast
and meet up with Jase and Matt, a couple of lads we've fished with before for a go at the hounds, this part of the country really has some excellent
fishing as long as you don't mind loosing gear or long walks.
Set off at 3 to fish seven hours over low and be back for 6(am :bored: ),quiet down to low with just a small turbot for me, a small eye for Joe and the odd
doggie and small codling between the four of us.

It remained slow with just a bass for the first two of the flood

The last hour and a half of the session had the smuts appear with five between us,Joe getting bit off once and almost loosing his rod to one
bite but didn't land any but had a consolation baby tope.
