Lure fishing from the kayak for largemouth bass at Lake Bastrop and Lake Fayette near Austin. The fishing was good, the weather hot, and the company was first class – what a great bunch of people from all over the world. I caught my bass on a mixture of surface poppers, crankbaits and texas rigged senkos. Used Teklon Concept rods and Mitchell Mag Pro Extreme 2000 and Daiwa Luvias and Magforce reels. Video footage taken using an iON Air Pro wi-fi HD action cam. All competitors used identically rigged Hobie Pro Angler 12 kayaks rigged with Lowrance Elite 4x DSi fish finders.
