http://dizzybigfish.co.uk/ A really simple fly pattern that immitates a number of different bait fish – sandeels, small fry, shrimps, brit. The shape/outline/silhouette is also storngly suggestive of sandeels/fry. I have caught bass, bream, mackerel, garfish and even a 15lb bull huss on this pattern ! It can be fished as a traditional fly or added to a patternoster and baited. It has been adapted from the small "shrimper" type lures I have seen, which were always successful. But I have used improved materials and a much stronger (smaller) hook – Mustad 34007 size 8. This hook is small enough to catch sandeels and launce, but strong enough to tame the likes of the 15lb huss !
