16/06/13 -
Sharktag - Luce Bay/Port William - Day 2
Weather: Sun , Light wind
Bait: Mackie , herring , feathers
Species: mackie , herring , launce , pollack , whiting , lsd , tope , bull huss

After yet another one of Brian's sleepless nights of cannae get the door open etc . woke upto to a a no bad morning .
Met Andy and launched early , headed for mackie , slow to start with but ended up with 30+ , also launce , herring , pollack .
We then headed to port william , baits down , waiting on the 1st strike , scratching rods down a stream of doggies came in along with whiting , even 3 dogs on at once .

Then bang a run , tope on but lost at side of boat , then again Nuddy 1st blood tope aboard , followed by frank around the 18-20lb range , this followed by a few dogs.

My rod was next go a nice 30+lb tope , we had around 7 dropped runs inbetween, with brian still catch my rod screamed off , looked like a nice fish but it came off , crimp opened up .

Franks rod went Brian was in another tope everyone caught , by this time we lost around 15 , Nuddy got another tope , followed by myself .

Frank had his light rod out bang tope on and aboard , then doggies started to appear , we did get a bulhuss to round off the day .

A total opposite day than the sat , well pleased .

Plenty of fish for you there Jason and in decent weather for a change! :speed: loving the hat! :lol: does it actually keep the midges away? ???
