1st one in the bag
It was not my intention to go fishing until next week, however I did a single night shift Monday night and although I'd not been to sleep before it because it was just 1 night I didn't sleep Tuesday either. So it's beyond me why at 0240hrs Weds morning I was in the wide awake club. I tried all know remedies to get back off. However nowt work so I found myself heading to Holmpton for a mornings fishing. I arrived at about 0645hrs and was in the water shortly after. It was the same as Saturday with whitings from the off right up until 30mins before hi water and 30 mins after. I called it a day at 1230hrs & headed home.
On passing The Paull turning I decided to go have a look. I set up about 50 yards to the left of the car park, there was only 1 other old boy there who was just setting up as I walked passed him. After about 30 mins there was an almighty crack and tinkle, the old boy had only gone and hit his moped he had parked next to him. After another 20 mins I had what looked like a bite and was rewarded with this little beauty, which fell off on the lift up so I had to go down the wall into the mud to get him.

2lb10oz a bit bent and my 1st of the season.
The old boy hit his bike a further 2 times and called it a day ;D he packed up got on his moped and promptly fell off the bugger with the engine revving like mad I couldn't stop laughing as I ran over to him and pulled the bike off him and walked him to the safety of the car park. Bloody never off shift lol
All in all I stayed just 2hrs as it was raining n I had no coat.
Cheers
