Nice day to be out but murdered by dogs moved several times to completely different areas but just could not avoid them ,ended up using 1 rod each as they were on soon as your lead hit the bottom.Went through 150 worm between us so thats cured me for a few weeks .

Must be dog tired after that..!!! At least the tips were rattling..!!

nothing worse than a pack of dogs it put me off fishing inshore at Rossall try further out around the Whistle bouy.

thanks tell but i don't know where the whistle bouy is i don't have a gps yet on my new boat hopefully the misses will buy me one for crimbo

Unlucky with the dogs, it does get monotonous when they're onto your baits first all the time :doh: maybe we should start taking a few for the pot, they are a really tasty fish it's just a parp skinning them :fish:

Also, it's been scientifically proven that the least favourite bait of a dogfish is mussel, not only that, mussel is the favourite bait of cod.........worth a try?

yes I fished the same time we got totally dogged out but we did manage dabs whiting pouting and a solitary 2 pound codling for good measure

You did well to get through to a codling terry we did have a spell where we got a few dabs on the trot and 2 whiting but it didn't last long before the dogs returned .It was so bad it has put me off going out again it was a ball ache.This is my first season back boat fishing for quite a few years and don't ever remember getting dogged out like this has it become the norm in recent years?
