top tip

sat. me u and t. side by side. u got loads whiting no coddie , i got no whiting and 2 coddie.
sunday. me and another addict fishing side by side. he got load of whiting no coddie. i got only 2 whiting and 3 coddie.
mon night. me and other angler side by side. he got loads whiting, every cast. no coddie. i got 2 whiting and 2 coddie.

why am i getting cod but very little whiting, anglers beside me catching dozens of whiting but no cod. 3 session in a row, other anglers no further than 10 yards from me. it can't be luck. so i look at their rigs....

answer...am not fishing a top dropper, i took it off cos sick of whiting. also my bottom snood length puts the bait near the weight and hence on the bottom. them cod are mooching on the bottom using thier beard to feel bait. the whiting are higher up. so fish high bait get whiting, fish on the bottom get cod.

thats my theory. seems to work .
