A Nice Tuesday afternoon session
Easington road end
Well with Pete chomping at the bit for the last week I thought I'd give him a ring n see if he fancied a chuck Tuesday. Seeing as the Southern beaches have been fishing consistently all season, I thought we'd head to Easington. After a quick stop at Anglers Alley for bait we hit the beach about 1200hrs, perfect with 3hrs to hi water. We were treated with sunshine and an almost flat sea with a gentle off shore wind. We were both in the water very quickly. I didn't have long to wait for the 1st fish of the day a nice ting (blank avoided). The weed was there but not too much of a pain.
Pete attempted to reel in the big concrete block a couple of times that was just to the South of our peg. I had a steady run of tings and then out of the corner of my eye the old rod tip popped up (slack line bite) I wound down and fish on! Soon this little beauty was beached.

It came in at 3lb 7oz, happy Dayz.
Pete asked me "what's a slack liner then?" So I explained. I was in again with this monster

Shortly after I looked across and Pete was reeling in shouting "it did it, it did it, it bent down and sprung back up" shortly after this little beauty turned up.

This came in at 3lb 13oz, a new shore caught PB for Pete gaining him a very valuable .5 extra point in the MADSAC cod challenge. Well done mate.
It went a little quiet after hi water n over slack water. I had a few small tings n Pete kept trying to bring the concrete block in (without success).
We had decided to call it a day at 1800hrs however at 1745 I them managed this little beauty.

This came it at 3lb. So now we had a conundrum should we stay or should we go "said some band once" We then decided we'll bugger off when Petes friend starts to show (the concrete block, (connie to his new mate Pete.))
There was a lad from Donny fishing to our North so I gave him the last of our werms after our last casts.
However no sooner had I given the, away Pete had another slack liner n pulled in this Beauty.

This came it at 3lb.
I then said we can't stay I've given our werms away lol. Anyway it's always best to finish on a high.
So that was it at 1830 we came off the beach. Another top day a few more cod for the MADSAC cod challenge and a big upset in the table. It's a shame Pete didn't catch his fish the other way around as he would have broke his PB twice. Well done Pete.
My fish came at about 70yards (as far as I can cast) and short at about 200yards. Petes came in at about 50-60yards.
My rigs were fixed pats body 70cm snood 60cm. We threw Blow lug, mussel, squid n frozen blacks. All fish for me came to straight werm.
