Anglesey Bull Huss.
Anglesey Bull Huss 24/02/18.
I traveled up to twycross and arrived there in the day light just before high water
with the hope of finding a good mark down there but the one i wanted was taken
kev and dyl were on there way down also but they were a few hours behind me
we were all after the rays and huss that show up around there.
Darkness soon came and the small baited rigs were getting batted by the whiting
as soon as they hit the water rattle rattle.
After 2 hours fishing the sea conditions just did not look right to me
there was a bit of a swell staring and it was washing up the rocks
and the whiting were just getting more and more confident in mashing up my ray baits
so i made the decision to move on to another venue
kev and dyl were over to the right but i chose to depart.
Mark number 2,
First cast and yet another whiting out.
But that would be my last whiting of the night
and a small run of dog fish kept me busy after that.
Then just when i had a text from dyl saying he had just had a nice sized huss out
my rod went berserk and i also had a nice bull huss for 8 lbs 2oz.
And then the usual fight with the huss as the camera came out
that huss are so good at doing.
another good trip up the island and the move payed off also.
