Re: Angling Addicts Dog Aid meet 5/4/15
A big well done to the organisers and a cracking sum raised.
I had a good start to the day - getting 2 16 year old xbox addicts out of bed at 6.30am to go fishing is an achievment in itself.
after that everything went down hill !
Must have gone down every road in Heysham until we found the mark , after setting up I went for a wander and had a chat with Padsta tel and Sharpie , the sausage butties looked great but as the lads had persuaded me to go via macdonalds my oversized belly couldn't fit one in (the 2 kids managed one each though !)
Spent the next couple of hours watching codless reel in one fish after another while our rod tips stayed totally static.
A combination of a bad back kicking in and 2 bored teenagers forced me to finish early and attempt to get home-took a wrong turn getting out of heysham and finished up in Morecambe (the new Gerrys looks like it will be worth a visit ) then took a wrong turn in Lancaster and headed for Carnforth !
All of a good turnout and again well done to the organisers ( I know how hard it is to get these things up and running )
Kicking myself for not getting about more and putting faces to names , hopefully next time I'll get to meet everyone

Oops........
Very sorry guys, one namecheck glaringly missing from my original post - Gerry's and Trev's tackle shops - for their kind donations of tackle for the prize boxes today !! Its added in there now as it should have originally been, I've probably missed a dozen other contributors but Gerry's are the site sponsor and events like this are made possible by their generousity in providing prizes,in return I know there was a LOT of talk about the new shop on Sunday and a fair few who couldn't get in due to the B/H trading laws will be back very soon for a look in.............Thanks again Sam & Gerry for sorting the main prize package
