Trying to sort out ht gynn lunchtime followed by b and b.friday night .wash fish supper(the only one ill see) then fish the open

What will be the rules regarding hooks/bait and retaining a fish for the weigh-in. I wouldn't like to keep a ray waiting in a container for 3hrs and I'm not going to kill one.
