Bait collection with a few bonus fish!!
Here's a vid from a recent session, I had intended on just devoting the session to collecting bait for the coming winter, but I just couldn't help myself - so winkled out a few nice fish whilst I was at it. Loads of hints, tips and even some nice fish for you to see

Another excellent post John. Sorry for delay in reply to your last response to your wrecking rig video.
I fish Eyemouth on holiday and this summer was on the boat skippered by Will Fouracres, it’s on CBUK. He’s a fine skipper and very experienced.
I normally fish the Mersey shore in winter down Otterspool and some times take a boat in the summer over the Liverpool Bay, as closest to where I live, near Newton Le Willows.
If I’m honest the number of species catchable in this region is good but the quality of the wreck fishing is in comparison to the north east not as good in terms of cod ,size and quantity, but there’s more wrecks and rough ground in the North Sea, and in the Irish Sea you’ve got to go roughly 10 miles to get 100ft of wate etc but some decent pollack and ling can be caught, and excellent Huss, spur and tope in summer along with dabs galore, whiting and plaice, thornbacks, mackerel.
In some ways it’s similar to the Mull of Galloway, but there like north east you don’t have to venture far offshore. It makes a big difference in the fishing time!
Tight Lines !

I live down in the south west now and in my opinion the fishing down here is far superior to the north east for species diversity and size. The only fish they have more abundance of up there is codling. I do most of my fishing in less than 100ft, but yes having to travel 10+ miles to find anything deeper would be a nuisance.
I don't always get the vids up on here, if you can - subscribe to the channel; that way you won't miss any. I've just had a great day out on the boat. Vid should be up soon.

Speaking of screaming reels. I dueled with a true creature from the deep yesterday. There are some short clips on The Fishlocker fb page. All I can say is that I am sore today.
