Bistro Beach,Southbourne Dorset.
Decided to try a bit further along the sands last night.
Arrived at LW for a change.
Usual set up 3 hook Rag,mini squid and small piece of Sandeel 30 yds out
just to see whats about.
Supermatch LD with upNover 2/0 double sandeel @ 50 yds
and Supermatch with same set up as far as.....
The only thing with this spot is the sand brings out the barbys, dog walkers,
and swimers and padlers, plus you have the paddle boarders but darkness
soon saw them off..........
A few Pout on the close in got things going........
I noticed the LD rod line going off down tide and although it was only a small tide there still was some annoying May rot in the water and I initially thought it was that.....still a nice little bump on the rod tip told me different.
Lovely Little Spotted Ray @ 4lb on the nose.
One of the better looking Ray family I think.
as usual I'm thinking can I go one better and have 2 Rays from a session but ...........
these sods had other ideas, had 7 in all at all distances a match measure and return matchmans dream but not when I'm targeting Raymonds.
Oh well, another Ray from the Bay so well pleased.
Will try another spot near Hengisbury Head next time as you can't park at night time any where near it,so it involves
parking and cycling a mile to the venue......aint put a bag and rod bag across a bicycle since I was 7......yer right.....watch this space.
