Canal tench

Not been out for 2 weeks due to busy works This morning,I was up early to have a short session at my local cut.

As usually,caught well at the first hour with a few bream up to about 3lb,a few skimmers and a few decent roach.Just when I was thinking to pack up after an hour+ because of the rain moving in,I hooked into a good tench,and it took me ages to land it with the skimmer/bream set up.By the time the fish in the net,I was soaking wet with that mighty heavy shower

5lb1oz,it's the biggest tench I had from any canal for donkeys years

This morning,I went to Sollom Rufford Canal.Took me over 10 minutes to clear and flatten the overgrowth for a bit of the good old days proper fishing in the middle of nowhere(well it feel like middle of nowhere although I only less than 100 yds from the car )


Fishing's shyte though Almost 2 hours,only a few skimmers for all that trouble
