Cymyran Bay 9/10/21
Myself,Lee and Jimmy had a bash for a small eyed ray, fishing from 2 down up to high water.
Starting at the small rocky outcrop...me n Lee on the right and Jimmy on the left...steady sport from the off with small thornies and dogs coming out..Jimmy had more rays on the left side, and lost a good fish when his hooklength went west
Lee was after his first small eyed, but had to be content with thornies...he did manage a better one of 7lb 2oz an hour before high
Once the tide reached the top section of the beach (2hrs 45mins before high) the fish came back on the feed with more dogs n thornies...i went to get my scales to weigh Lee`s ray, when i noticed i had a slack line, which resulted in my first huss from this beach...
Next cast saw me land a pb small eyed of 8lb 7oz...
i`m on the lookout for a new photographer
An hour before high water saw the action stop completely, until just before high when i had a belting take from a nice silver...
A last cast small coalie rounded the night off for me,giving me 6 species....love this venue, but it`s a pity the access track has been gated off due to "campers" leaving rubbish everywhere !!!!!!
