thought I would try to find a place were I could fly fish for pike   I know :dumb: :dumb: but if you don't have a try you never know what you might be missing :fishing: so took the spinning rod a couple of filish black minnows and a small dexter while I was at it thought I would have a little dabble  2 hours later from the first peg a nice jack about a 1lb and 40 mins later another small jack about 1lb nothing great but good fun.the first one seemed to have a deformed mouth closer inspection revealed a small hook stuck in its mouth so a bit of removal work and hook out :fish: fish away all we'll.

Nice one Shane  bit of a change from the Ribble. That pike looks very silver, I’ve never seen one so bright. Top day :thumb: :gp:

Looks like a relaxing spot to spend a few hours and try something different.

:thumb: Well done Ma8, that’s another passion is the pike fishing, hence why, I started using lamprey for sea bait, as it’s tough and bloody.

Back to lure fishing and there’s not much better than catching pike and perch on the lures.

Tight Lines ma8, :thumb: and best of luck with the flounder qwest!

Nice done Shane. It is sometimes very hard to lure them to bite when the weather is so calm, although much more comforting to fish :D . Seems like you both found a good spot and managed to trick one into biting!
