drift fishing advice

Hello all. I am on holiday soon to ladram bay, near exmouth and I have the intention of hiring a small boat for a day. (£20 an hour)

Anyway, I have spent a lot of hours on a boat so happy enough getting on one but a little unsure about drift fishing. From the report I have been able to get there is decent plaice fishing to be had off shore but what tides am I best looking at.

I have fished dartmouth a few times but cannot remember what size the tides were haha
