Early Llyn foray

Postby sp8 » 25 Apr 2017, 23:50

Had a cheeky 3 night break in Aberdaron with the dearly beloved.
Usually I consult the tide table first and then decide on a date but this time I booked a caravan then consulted the tide table. Couldn't have picked worse tides.
Low water on the first night was at 01-30. No problem, fished from 23-00 Saturday night to 03-00 Sunday. Flat calm but managed to get a few whiting and a couple of small dogs on lug, rag and frozen sandeel.
Fished again on Monday night from 20-30 to 23-00 with frozen sandeel. Massive surf, magnificent sunset, 10 billion stars but no fish. Mind you I didn't expect any so I wasn't too disappointed.
Roll on summer.

Frustrating mate :banghead: Then again if you'd hit a vein of luck and released a mass of early silvers?
Sounds like you enjoyed the surroundings none the less. Here's hoping for better luck next time :thumb:

I love Aberdaron myself although I have never fished the beach, I have always fished the rock mark below Penrhyn Farm. Sounds like you had a nice time though.
