early morning prestatyn

Postby black bart » 16 Jul 2011, 16:51

had a short session this morning from prestatyn , launched at 4.30am , onto a beautiful sea , the wind was blowing southerly , all was looking good ....... 2nd leg of the eddie lewis bass competition ,,,,,,,
on the first mark 5mins later ,,, baited the revos up with fresh lug ,,,, fishing in 4/5 ft of water on the ebb ,,,
it wasnt long till the first rod went ,,,, pulled in a small schoolie , she was in size but went back ,,,,, 10 mins later another one a little larger than the first ,
rebaited both rods and sat down for a coffee only to find my flask , butties , everything where back in the van ,,,,,,,
all was forgotten a few minutes later when i had a thumping bite,,, reel screaming and stripping line,,,,what a beautifull sound ,,,,,,,,, after a cracking scrap landed a lovely bass coming in back at the club at 5.5lbs ......... didn't get any pics on the boat as it was very very wet .
the weather had turned for the worse , gone west again and hissing it down ,,, time to head back to base ,,,,,,,, cracking few hours out ,,,,,, took a few snaps back at home ,,,,

Great first post Nath, and Welcome to Angling Addicts

Nothing worse than forgetting your scran on a trip..... can't go without food!!! Although i suppose it might have been worse if you had forgot the bait ??? At least you got a few hours in mate, and a nice fish to boot!!! :thumb: :thumb:
