Eastney Beach 12/09/2015
A few hours out on Eastney Beach with my Pops - we have fished this mark on all states of the tide now and fairly confident we are getting to grips with it. It's not an easy mark to fish and today we had fierce tide rips and an onshore strong wind, made keeping in contact with the lure quite difficult. The choppy sea also effected the water clarity, we still managed a few fish though. I was first off the mark with a hard fighting Bass on a Fiiish Black Minnow soon after my Dad followed with one on a savage gear sandeel. Both caught just off the pipe, mine at a different tide state to what i have been told produces. We saw some quality fish from the pier but no luck trying to tempt them but now I know they are there they will be targeted with different tactics each time! Plenty of people out fishing on the piers and beach but very few fish caught, so we were happy we connected with a couple.
I was actually happy with this fish (contrary to what my face says), my biggest on a lure!
my dad's fish

Both superb lures of choice put into good use mate, well done to you and your Ol fella on scoring on a very Bassy looking spot........I've only fished the beach for Plaice @ Eastney but your report just shows what else can be had with the right tactics.
