Fishing when you don't expect to catch
This is not a proper fishing report, just a story of a guy who has been down to Falmouth for a couple of days and cannot sleep. So he goes for a walk at 6.30am down to the local beach which is a tourist beach and in a couple of hours will be full of screaming kids, ice creams and people in wet suits trying to look 'cool'. He takes his telescopic rod and armed only with a jelly worm he starts lazily casting into the clear water of the sandy beach looking at his watch and waiting for the time to come when he can go back to the B&B and have breakfast. After his third cast he gets caught up on a rock------ or is it------ the rock starts to move and fight back in fact this rock is going berserk. Anyway it was a wrasse of about one and a half pounds. Tight lines

well done mate! You've earned that full English those little messing about sessions sometimes turn out to be most memorable. Remember MANY years ago coming back from a bream hammering holiday in Ireland and ferry being delayed by a day! We went with match rods around harbour catching little wrassse, great fun!

Fishing and nature go hand in hand there is so much to see and enjoy. Catching fish is a bonus.
