Grey Day
Sorry for the delayed post but my internet connection has been on holiday.
We were out and about on Tuesday when I stumbled on a shop which was selling live ragworm. I thought this was an omen and although the forecast for Wednesday was dire I bought a pack.
The plan was always to float fish rag from the rocks for wrasse so got tackle sorted and hoped for the best.
Woke up Wednesday morning there was a strong wind gusting from the south west and it was p.....g down. i decided that the rock mark was out of the question and that I would fish from the beach in a sheltered corner that I had spotted. This meant that we could wait for the tide to make up a bit so I dawdled over an extra cup of coffee before dragging myself out.
On arrival at the mark conditions did not seem as bad as expected and I could see that there was still access to the rocks for a short time. I was not sure what to do but as they say 'Who dares....Rodders.'
I cowered behind the car and set up the float rod and off I went slipping and sliding over the wet rocks, to cut to the chase i managed 20 mins. before the tide pushed me back, conditions were grim with the rain in my face but I caught 2 decent wrasse. ( pictures to follow if I can contact my IT manager).
With that I retreated to the beach and spent the rest of the time under the brolly fishing a further 2 hours up to high, but with no further takes.
