I got the urge to go fishing on saturday, and managed to get, 10 swimmers and a fresh mackerel.
Sunday morning I was up and raring to go. Though outside it was chucking it down, I waited for it to ease and ended up at the Wall, two hours before high.
Not many rods down there, and got my favorite spot.
Set up two rods, with the usual Flapper Rigs, baited and I was in action. The Whiting were biting today. Which gave me a steady stream of them. Dab, Pouting, Dogfish and a bonus 5LB 7OZ Thornback. (Which had devoured a already hooked Whiting) added a few more species.
The hectic flood provided most of the fish. The ebb a steady flow of Whiting, until I ran out of bait!.
These flash in the pan sessions always seem to work for me. Enjoyed the day.
