Harrowside Hound Day

Postby West Coast Warrier » 22 Jun 2024, 09:38

Enjoyed a fantastic morning down at Harrowside. Smooth Hounds a plenty, great sport and weather combined to make the day special. Just be careful when leaving the rod unattended, the Hounds hit the bait so hard the potential for your rod being pulled over into the water is very real, unfortunatly as some other anglers had experienced this and were keen to pass on their unfortunate experience. As a kid fishing Blackpool, there are so many species appearing now that we never caught then, it made me think what will the next ten years produce.

Well done Warier, I'll be down the Gynn tomorrow, hope they are still around.
Maybe different species of ray (small eyed, spotted & blonde) & black bream could be a possibility, also welcome to the AA site, it's a bit hit and miss but have to persever :thumb:

Welcome aboard  Excellent result  things do change here over the years. The summers have more species to go at. We seem to have lost the winter cod though.

Top fishing mate :thumb: Those hounds maybe just the start of our changing climate, with more exciting species straying onto our shores. Keep your clutch's backed off and if it's not a hound .......the dreaded weed will get you
