Cattle is easy to kill. They're kept in stalls, and all the tiger has to do is walk in and kill them. Slowly, they got accustomed to the taste and start liking it. Usually old or sick tigers go for this solution. There aren't a shortage of prey species in the Sunder bans forest, and I'm thinking that the net allows the tigers and humans to coexist without either being killed.
