Kayaking outing !
soo after a break in the wether, last night and 40 fresh peelers sat chilling in the fridge, it was time for an outing just next to the pipeline again, got out much better this time with my wheels been on so much easier this time, headed out to the pipe around 6 got anchored up and was fishing away, glad my new anchor found a good solid patch to stop me draggin along, sat there from 6 is till around 7.30, had a couple of pulls, ended up with a decent schoolie, its hard to explain but you kayakers will no what i mean, after been sat there for a little while it felt like i was spinning round, couldn't work out of it was me been tired because i had been up since 5 or just me been a tart , anyways it got a bit un comfortable there and i ended up been thrown around a little, i think it was because i was in the channel not sure, rally could do with some were else to fish any suggestion would be greatfull, has any one fished around the battery area or grosvenr skear from a yak yet ? and would you recromend it, i tried fishing on the side of the skeer but the tide was absolutly ripping in scary really, and again unfishable, any sugestions to were else i can fish or should it be ok to fish the pipe line during the flood of the tide right through to fishing it out ? does any one fancy going this week sometime ? would appreciate it if i could tag along wih some one who fishes from the kayaks a lot, thanks,
tried to upload a picture of the bass i had but can't seem to do it some how bit strange

Re: Kayaking outing !
What anchor have you got??
I have a small 2kg Bruce, plus about 2-3m of really heavy chain, and have still had it drag!!!
Problem around Morecambe is the run....
Had reasonable success off Throbshire point, Just out from the grosvenor slip, and up past the jetty.
We will have to get out soon mate, maybe a trip down Cleveleys for some tope and smoothhounds...

Good lad Paul, show young Adam the ropes mate just don't get too friendly with him cos I'll be back soon enough, and you know I don't like threesomes
Make a difference - take home one piece of someone's angling litter next time you are out fishing

I looked a a bruce anchor, mines just a grapnel normall anchor, 2kg with 4ft of chain attached to some climbing rope, holds niceley, but I did give the skeer a bash last night on the right hand side, Jesus it's drags like a don't no what, I am surprised jo much the tide runs its serious and you have to be so so careful were you go, I was fishing pipe last night and it became very uncomfortable.......not good at all especially on ure own.
I'd like to go to Blackpool how ever I have no way of getting down there bud, can chip in with fuel costs .
I'll be out his week from 6 till 10 just off the stone jetty ! Might get some good peelers, always worth a gander

The more the better for me, would be a good laugh and no doubt we would see some fish beetween us like. I need some one to show me and tell me if am anchoring up correctly am afte advise really because I want to do a bit of fishing from the kayak as I think you have better chance of getting something decent, rather than fishing low water marks you can fish low water marks in ure kayak as well as fish he tide in great bit of kit
