Lancaster Canal 14th & 15th August

Well out again down to my favourite bit of the canal....but met with a dilemma...after the thunderstorms and heavy rain in the week...a few of the big boats had taken on water and flooded the bilges...so a few patches of dirty diesel floating about after the were pumped out into the swim i usually fish...but i was there so out with the pole and a few maggots..in a swim a bit further up...and bingo on the fish from the start..with a better stamp of fish showing on went the worm and took some lovely perch and a few skimmers...popped on a piece of corn and out popped a few hybrids.... i knew i would be returning to the swim again on saturday ..so pre-baited next to one of the boats that hasnt moved for months and once again fish from the off....steadily catching for about 3 hours.
