Lancaster Canal 21st & 25th September

Well back to the canal .....not expecting much as the temperatures have dropped significantly....the wind was blowing a howler...so had to pick a different peg today....a little further north than i usually fish...but a peg i have fished before....sheltered by the bridge...fishing across the canal in about 18 inches of water...a steady stream of fish to my surprise.

As i said the temperatures are dropping away..but after having a good session on Monday ..off i popped...with the remaining half pint of maggots...the wind had dropped..so back to my usual peg...three hours for 5 fish.....time to pack away the coarse gear for winter and out with the sea tackle.

Well done catching on the 'smooth', now prepare for the 'rough'. Hope the sea fishing goes as well for you as the course has.
