Lancaster Canal 30th August & 3rd September 2021

Bank Holiday Monday back on the banks of the Lancaster canal ,down at Forton....the weed has gone again.
Set up in my usual peg fishing out a 6 metres single maggot on a 20`s hard on the bottom...drip feeding a few maggots each drop and the fish appeared....then a stonkin big eel of 3lb 9oz ...which gave my elastic a good working out....full stretch and a bend in the pole...that was a workout.

Friday 3rd September and back down to Forton ... same tactics as monday and the fish were still feeding

The canal seems to have a good stock of fish, good to see eels starting to make an appearance
