Late, late show!!! Brunswick 12/07
Back to the Mersey today for a ray
Got there about 10.30 & Paul (Thompson) had already been there for 3 hours & pulled out a dover then a thorny and then a 6lb plus bass
all in the last hour of the ebb.
So rods in at 11.00 & not a bite till going up to high with a flounder down the wall on the LRF which didn't even register
Paul was pulling the thorny's at regular intervals (he's a master at catching the rays)
At 5pm it was time to reel in, I was just sorting a rig out when the rod left on the rail swung right round & was flying off down to New Brighton taking lots of line with it, I tightened the drag & after 5 mins of winding in a thorny came to the surface she weighed in at 5lb 11oz
Kathy blanked but was happy as she had a cateract removed earlier in the week & could see the bouys in the river which she has always thought where boats
Apart from a spell of rain it stayed fine for most of the session & turned out a good day.
