Lymm Dam

Went today with the new gear to give it a run out before the hols, got there around 09-00, started fishing the Church side and had no luck, the baliff, nice old bloke came over and made me £5 lighter but had no info on pike in the area.

Moved over to the path side and carried on with a mixture of lures, great views though and a big water.

Lost a nice lure in a bush which was well in the water so couldn't get it back, well annoyed £13 down the drain, still the views still got better.

Image

Went to the bottom of the Dam and lost another lure on a sunken log, got it to the top but it snapped off and sunk, again not happy.

Nice at the bottom end though.

Nothing doing this time, another bloke spinning had had no luck either. (made me feel better)

Maybe next time but will be renewing my Bridgewater Licence as that is 5 mins from my front door and full of Pike.

Nice Duck Shot though

Unlucky Paul on losing a couple of lures, that's the risk you take unfortunately  that's another reason why all my plugging is on the surface!

How was the rod? Up to the job for the hols you reckon? ???

Great pics, thanks for the report :gp:

The rod performed better than any lure/spinning rod I have ever used, great for casting, super slim and even launched some big lures out over a long distance as though they where spinners.

Well worth the money
