Milnrow fishig club/ blue mink

Postby ozzie ozzie1 » 11 May 2021, 23:24

Saturday saw 9 members standing in the pouring rain barely able to stand up due to the wind waiting for Andy skipper of Blue Mink to pick us up (we must be mad but if skipper says trip is on we go)
once on board we headed towards blackpool to seek shelter and I must admit the sea state was fine
A steady stream of dabs dogfish and smooth hounds kept us busy along with a few thornback rays and small tope kept us busy. I had a suprise flounder andalso a cracker of a smoothie which hit the scales at 13lb
The rain stopped and we also moved to a different mark where the fishing slowed down for a while
Then the bullhuss came on the feed and a few double figure ones hit the deck. A decent fish was lost at the net (say no more ) along with more doggies dabs and small tope
Ended up to be another great day afloat :D :D
