My first ever Kayak fishing Session
I had my first ever Kayak fishing session on Monday, it was a fairly last minute thing so decided to stay local, I borrowed a Yak and launched from Heysham, I and paddled out 300 - 400 yards or so from Throbshire.
Being brand new to it I was fairly nervous about the whole experience and it didn't help the water being fairly choppy with a westerly breeze at times!
To cut along story short, the fishing was pants, not much happening(probably too much fresh rain water in the bay) I had a couple of rattles, one lead to a fair sized Dab but that was it!
Even though the fish weren't playing I really enjoyed the whole experience, I didn't feel seasick once(YIPPEE) or frightened and defo want to get out and do it again, next time hopefully further out in the bay or even on the Fylde or IOM!
So i'll be keeping my out out for a reasonably priced fishing kayak and gear!

Well done Kev, it's great fun isn't it? you'll find that you'll be less prone to seasickness because your mind is taken off it with other considerations ie you're to busy worrying about other stuff to feel sick

Make a difference - take home one piece of someone's angling litter next time you are out fishing
