mystery wrasse
Caught a few wrasse off stone pier weymouth last month. Is this a ballen wrasse or something different. ? I've never caught a green ballan before.

It's a cuckoo wrasse and a pretty bland one at that! They're usually very colourful!

The girlie cuckoos are beige as is yours and the boys are multi-coloured jobbies.

thanks guys . A few people was telling me its a ballen wasse . I've caught many ballen in angelsey but they are have more of a bigger build to them. I was hoping it was a wrasse I haven't caught yet . so ill ad it to the list. yes stone pier was a nice place to fish but the day I was there but their wasnt a lot coming out.
