Where abouts are you from Alan?
Hi Paul, I'm up in Scotland most of my fishing will be Loch Etive (love it there) the west coast of Scotland and over to the East coast. Just got a static caravan in Loch Goil so may end up keeping the boat there, not that great fishing there but in its day it was fantastic I caught my best every cod of 26ilb 5oz in Loch Long at the mouth of Loch Goil way back in 1972, I was 17 years old.
Sadly the days of the Clyde for cod are long gone, sure would love to get down south for a bash sometime.

Just won a fantastic prize on facebook run by Gael Force, it is a hand held Standard Horizon HX300E floating transceiver. Was told I won it on Tuesday and its here this morning. This will be nice and handy for the new outfit.

Re: New boat
Got an email from Gael force last night,
"We are taking delivery of the boat tomorrow, the engines will be with us next week, when they arrive the fit out will begin. The trailer will be here in 10 days – 2 weeks, all going well she should be ready to collect in just over 2 weeks.
One thing I forgot to ask, would you like to collect it from the shop in Hillington or would you like the boat delivered up to Lochgoilhead. Delivery allows us the change to do a more complete hand over if you wish, this of course has no extra charge."
Be good to finally get the boat, got the stencil all ready for her name and my son will do that for me.
Roll on the fishing is all I say.

I'm up in Scotland moving this weekend from Cumbernauld to Airdrie area so handy for both west and east coast, do prefer my fishing in Loch Etive and Oban but my static is in Lochgoilhead so may end upkeeping boat there in the local clubs boatyard once I join up with them and space permits.

Yeah sure is a good offer, so will take them up in that, can hardly wait, every time I go to the static and look down on the Loch I wish I could get out on a boat, so not long and I will be doing just that. The wife can sit in the static I be happy out fishing lol.
