Hi Keith and welcome to AA mate
You seem keen, but take your time before you rush in mate.
I'd start by heading down to the North wall at Heysham firstly, normally someone fishing there who can help you out.
The wall's easy casting so you can have a gentle chuck out/practice.
Climbing rocks is no good if you get caught by the tide or if you get stuck in the quicksand.
I'd leave the beach well alone until you suss out the tides and times.and don't go out alone until you've sussed out the dangers.
Morecambe sands take no prisoners Keith for sure.

Ask away on here and if you visit the wall call in at Gerrys on the front at Morecambe, they'll help you out.
Good luck with it all

Welcome aboard mate. Get yourself to any AA social and you'll find plenty willing to help. Plenty of ways to skin the cat so keep an open mind on tackle and don't believe all the hype. Personally I'd be buying 2nd hand mostly. Good bait well presented in the right place at the right time is what we are all trying to achieve. That and lady luck to be massaging your back as you battle that monster

Welcome Brad Gynn Wall at Blackpool is a good spot to start off easy fishing snags are few and far between plenty anglers on the Gynn But if you find it ok on the wall a permitt would be wise £30 for 12 month from September other wise its park up on the top and walk down one of the paths Bispham Angling is good for fresh bait just on the road on top of the Gynn Wall
