Hitting My Childhood Bonefish Flats After 50yr!

Growing-up I Used To Catch The Bus Here For 10cents From Kaimuki!

I grew-up nearby & started hitting this place as it was only a 10min bus ride from my childhood home. I used to spear fish & grab seashells & octopus here while growing-up. Then i never came back. +6yr ago i decided to return just for memories bringing 2 Okuma rigs with me. A lot of memories still here.

It was nice to see this place virtually untouched. The remains of the pier is completely gone. The car in the canal is also gone & has been replaced by a boat. And i almost stepped on a Samoan Crab, like i did at 12yr old. Since this trip i've never returned. Used 2 pairs of Blue Azores 4K Spinning Reels filled w/20lb braid on 2 12ft Okuma Spinning Rods.
