New Daiwa Saltist on Solpara LSJ Jigging Rod!
New Spinning Combo For My Shoreline Jigging & Multi-Lure Casting!
This new combo is both slightly heavier than my typical shoreline spinning casting & jigging rigs. Also beefier! To use this combo effectively i'll be using 1-1/4 to 1-1/2oz jigs & 1 to 1-1/2oz surface lures, mostly stickbaits. The LSJ's ratings is one thing but the rod itself feels "beefier" then what it's rated for. Now if i've chosen a longer rod with the same ratings, say a 10ft or a 10'6" it would "soften" the upper reaction.
Getting this rod was my first realization on how Major Craft rates it's rods. It's more "multi purpose" than finesse. So to match what i'm currently used to, jigs averaging 25/30g, i would need a ML alternative in the same length. Or keep the rod's rating & up the rod's length at least a foot. Good to know this & to share with others wanting to try one as well. They're not expensive. But since most are shipped from Asia (mostly Japan & Singapore) i lucked out finding companies that provide free International Shipping.
