Presthaven Sands
Very quickly, took son and family down to the above for a few days chilling out...weather was kind, so took a couple of spinning rods for a play...Managed to get out for a couple of do's, fished tide back one afternoon, and fished it up Tuesday. Only low tides, days were bright and sunny, so wasn't too hopeful. And I was right...chucked a couple of Tobys around, a wedge and another lure that I don't know the name of, all fished well, but no takers. Lovely beach, very flat and featureless..??...Lad got a bit of practice casting a lure, and grandad nearly had a thrombie when as dad brought lure back to cast, number 3 grandson tried to catch it in his hand..!!! Disaster averted through the medium of a bloody great roar from moi...lessons learned all round...

Interesting point, while walking in we saw what looked like a basking shark way out in the tide heading out to sea..??

There's more to fishing than catching fish...

That water looks a bit coloured Steve, and a bit shallow maybe....but you never know unless you have a go
and I can think of worse ways to pass a few hours on
Glad you had a good time and thanks for the report![Good post :gp:](http://anglingaddicts.co.uk/forum/images/smilies/goodpost.gif)

Make a difference - take home one piece of someone's angling litter next time you are out fishing
