Red Herrings first outing.
Sat on the sofa chilling after a fantastic days fishing on the Red Herring with Jeffrey Dixon. Collected some fantastic blow Lug from Shane this morning and walked out to the boat to Tackle up before the tide floated the boat. First trip in the Herring this year, so we gave the top of the Bay a try first, Jeff has been promoted to Helms man and myself to anchor man it’s just to hard for him after his illness glad to say his induction went very well and handled the positioning of the boat when approaching the moorings like a pro, Jeffrey into a 39 cm Bass then a good founder then I had a tope pup one of several. Altogether eight species today better than I did in Weymouth on a charter trip. We arrived back on the moorings with an hour to spare before we could embark I had another two bass one at just 42 cm the day went so fast couldn’t believe we set off at 0900.
