Red Letter Gynn...<º))))><
I drove down the Gynn this morning to see it void of anglers, to which i thought does someone know something i don't ?
Settled for the usual spot. Bryan and Baz arived and took the opposite side of the steps. A couple of vehicles at the slope and that was it. Plenty of room for all.
I set up 3 rods, two of them rigged with 2 hook flappers. The inside rod with the old 3 hook stainless Paternoster, size 6 hooks. Baits today were fresh Blackworm and Peeler Crab. With water available baits were launched. The weed was a problem being pushed by tide and the south/west wind.
After an hour, my first Turbot of the year took a liking to Peeler. From then on it was fish all the way.
I had more than my fair share of Weavers. Starry Smoothound, Flounder, Tope, Eel and an Octet of Sole.
Crackin' days fishing, i had to pack up as i ran out of bait
Great company with the Sir Humphrey Twins
