Second day on Skye
Thought I would have a short session up to high water on my local jetty. Fished two rods with vatious rigs mack and squid. Not a bite. Around high a small shoal of mackererel came into the harbour chasing sprats. I had put up a rod with sabikis on and I managed to snare one but couldn't connect with the shoal again. I had put my prawn net into the water and pulled it up to find about forty crabs, all of quite a large size and bad temperament inside. That pot took some emptying with my bare hands. Managed to collect some very large mussels off the rocks as the tide fell so I managed lunch. But only just.
The places like Niest Point and Elgol are out of the question with the southerlies that have been blowing.
Sorry about my photos being out of whack but its the best I can do.

Re: Second day on Skye
I don’t think you can beat mussels eaten within a few minutes/hours of been pulled out
