Slow evening on Windermere
Decided to do an evening session at the bottom end of Windermere around the moored boats at Lakeside and just beyond. I had had plenty of perch in Summer from here and with the good weather hoped they were still around. Launched from Fell Foot park and spent a leisurely few hours either jigging or trolling small lures around the boats and moorings.
Fishing was painfully slow and I ended up with a perch around the pond mark which dropped off at the yak and its small cousin in the photo. Beautiful evening for a paddle whether catching or not.
Had planned to do some self rescues on my new yak, but chickened out as it went bloody freezing when the sun went down. Also fished later than expected and found myself trudging up the hill back to the car and packing up in darkness.....not easy using the light on a mobile phone !!!!!!!!

Re: Slow evening on Windermere
Now that's a slightly different report? Well done mate, great pics of our fair county in its autumn colours, and a bit of sport among the boats and jetties..?? Got me thinking now...( NO..!! Not a kayak..!!) maybe a few lures round the same area ..?? Top report though Bartdog, look forward to your next outing..!!
There's more to fishing than catching fish...
