swing tip advice.
Any help on how this works would be appreciated
Having just started to branch out a bit from regular float fishing have invested in method feeders, carp rods, weights, hair rigs boilies and that kind of stuff.
Have been watching rod ends quivering instead of floats and trying to get to grips with it.
Found this little beauty in the shed amongst some stuff I bought ages ago.
Its a middy swing tip no3

How does it work please?
Obviously shows mega small movement but how does it fix to a rod?
Little screw attachment on on the end.
Also what if you hook a big un?
Its just connected by a little bit of rubber.
Advice needed please chums.

Re: swing tip advice.
Some rods have the female end to that thread so you can screw in a quiver tip or swing tip...
There wouldn't be any force on the swing tip itself as it just site on the line....all the pressure would be on the first eye of your rod and down the rod....
A biting fish will feel less resistance than if you were using a quiver tip too....
You can use a board like this too so that you can spot the tiniest of bites

It's the forerunner of the quiver tip really..!! As Paul says, your rod should have a top eye with a thread on.( I've got one I'll put a pic on tomorrow ) I don't use it at all, I've three tips on a feeder rod and use that occasionally...

Like the lads have said a forerunner of the quiver tip it's ok on very calm days as a bit of wind and the swing tip moves stick to a quiver tip mate you can pick up a rod with multi tips up for a few quid and are a lot less hassle
