The day before the Storm.
Found a window for a boat trip between winds and storms I convinced Mrs Padsta to accompany me on a 5 hour fishing session aboard the Red Herring . Left the moorings 2 .5 hours before high water and headed towards the golf club, the channel has drastically changed over the months and wanted to see what was lurking beneath the waves. Anchor out and in with the rods, two for table fish , Plaice, Sole , Bass, and on for Rays it wasn’t long before I had my first Ray, then a Flounder, Sheena was cursing she had the bad side of the boat, then boom a cracking bite nearly pulled the rod overboard only stopped by the reel catching on the gunnel, and a 12 lb Ray came aboard to the delight of Mrs Padsta. Fish were coming frequently, Plaice Bass, eels ,Tope pups and even more Thornback. A sun filled day and very relaxing followed by a beautiful sunset.
