the mersey today

Postby robo » 16 Jan 2011, 22:52

we locked out this morning around 8-15 ish,the Mersey was not calm but not to choppy the day started good with the first fish after 10 minutes pushing 4 and a half pounds, we thought we where in for a bumper day but it was slow all day we finished up with 6 codling, there was only 2 charters out this tells its own tale,Steve on supreme tells me yesterday there was one codling between 4 boats but the whiting are back, today locking in we where tide up behind Gary Flin who owns the discovery and he said they had loads of flaties but no codling. the wirral had about twenty boats out we know one of the lads and he said they had 6 small ones, nice day out but fishing is not good
