TREARDDUR BAY - Beginners

Postby paulotter » 07 Oct 2020, 11:43

So my youngest (6) has been asking to go fishing. The last time I went fishing was with my Dad about the same age. We are going on holiday at the end of October to Treaddur Bay - Anglesey. Is there a local shop? What kind of fish could we attempt to catch? What equipment would we need for that?

Many thanks for the help in advance.

I suggest the two of you visit Malcolm at Anglesey Bait Centre. He's a mine of info, keeps a good stock of tackle at keen prices and is in the know as to what's good where :thumb: If your local to the Fylde then drop me a PM and I'll sort your lad out with some basics

A second vote for Malcolm he is very good, shop is at Gallows point alongside the petrol station just as you get to Beaumaris.

Thanks both, I'll give him a call tomorrow.

Also, thank you for the kind offer of equipment but unfortunately we are down near Chester.

Hi we fish treardur of the rocks theres a small beach be careful getting to the end of the rocks can be abit difficult but there are loads of wrass all sizes get some wrag from the little bait shop and fish with a float as very snaggy if bottom fishing low or high tide is good but be carefull on the tide coming in or you can fish the beach 5 mins further down the road would advise fishing on the bottom as you need to get out further hope you enjoy it :fishing: :fishing:
