Ty Croes 28th February

With the weather being so nice I couldn't resist a trip to the Island, arrived at the car park about 12.30 and no other cars about, clambered down the rocks to a nice comfortable ledge I had fished before and set up.
Only fished the one rod and started off with a 2 hook flapper baited with fresh black lug tipped with squid, got the lug from Menai angling on the way through, superb worms like snakes and some great advice and service, cracking little shop :thumb:

Getting bites from the off but no fish, maybe crabs or dabs ? changed to a pulley pennel with sandeel and squid and pulled in a dogfish abut that was it, very quiet, my mate caught a velvet crab. fished till just after low and got back to the car about 6.45, I was goosed, my poor body aching and it feels even worse today but a beautiful day to be on the Island.

Unlucky Andy, I presume you were hoping for an early Ray or two? :fish: that's one place I've always wanted to fish and never got around to it

Cheers for the report :gp:
