Holy crap!!! 18th of Jan and the sea temp is 9 degs ??? That is pretty warm for this time of year....normally around march-april before its that temp ???

No wonder there are odd plaice and bass around!!!

Loads of other info too.

It's got us down at about 4c at the moment. But around the isle of man, Stranrar and Ireland you can see the temps are up to 10c

What's interesting is about march time you can watch the darker colour red coming up from the bottom of the Irish Sea around the bottom of Ireland... this is happening already! about 3-4 months earlier than last year. I'm sure this is part of the Gulf Stream that brings in the water waters, I read a lot about it last year

It's interesting that the freshwater run off from the hills is dark blue = colder ??? that'll certainly affect the fishing in the bay
