Grabbed a couple of hours over at Perch Rockover low tonight-plentyof small whiting and a few dabs showing- testedmy new camera out with a few of the larger specimens

Then about half an hour before low water, the distance rod with sandeel/sqid wrap took on rather a good bend and travelled about 30 yards left to right against the ebb, wound up and pulled like hell but at first nothing was shifting;after about 7 minutes of pump and wind, thislittle feller final
ly surfaced at the waters edge

Bloke fishing along from me had a pair of scale and thisweighed in at 5.95lb just to top off a nice sesh. About half an hour later just to go one better, - this geezer pulls in one hell of a thornie, tipped the scales at just over 12lb.
Finally the obligatory mood shots

All in all an enjoyable evening.
